Money for School is getting tight, so......
It is becoming difficult to care for family, work at my job, and finish core classes for my degree. So, I have started looking all over online for scholarships so I can reduce my time at work by one day. (I sure hope they will let me do that.)
One scholarship that I found will involve my blog here. It is from Vacancy.com. What I will be doing is finding an apartment from their website that I think would be an ideal place to live as an employed student scholar. I have found a few places. Soon, I hope to past information about the place I would like to love in as a student scholar. I hope you enjoy this journey with me. Also, if anyone wants to email me and let me know if they have better ideas, please let me know!!

Creation
I am studying the Christian understanding of creation. Before the 19th century, Christians had a greater appreciation of God in nature. That is, pan-en-theism (God in nature) not pantheism (or nature as God). Each beauty in the world and in the universe is an expression of the beauty of God, much like the way a painter paints one's interior understandings of beauty on to the canvas, God has painted the world.
There was a Christian understanding of Jesus' mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, that had started to develop as symbolism early on, but for some reason it stopped. The understanding saw Mary as like the earth. The Logos was planted in the earth and sprang from it as the Vine from his own creation to become Jesus, true God and true Man.
Anyway, this is an idea I have been exploring this week. I have been moved to better understand what St. Francis de Sales had to say about nature and creation, but that has been difficult. It has not been as easy to study as St. Francis of Assisi, all the references to nature in the old and new testaments, and Celtic Spirituality. I will keep searching. With prayers from the Queen of Heaven, I hope I will succeed in my search.

Twice in one day
Just in case you were wondering what they look like, below are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their wedding day. The duchess, Catherine, is in line to one day be Queen of England if her husband, Prince William ever ascends to the throne.
Not that there are American royalty in the US, but we have someone very close to that very important role. The Joint Chiefs of Staff are all men, but the vice commadant of the Coast Guard is a woman.
Vice Admiral Sally Brice-O'Hara is the vice commandant of the Coast Guard. That means that she is second in command and a heartbeat away from being the first woman on the Joint Chiefs of Staff. This is an important role as we see more and more single mothers entering military service as a way to support their families and to be able to afford to raise their children.

It has been awhile
Sorry. It has been awhile since I have been able to post here.
Things have changed in my world. Moved. Started a new job. Accepted into a graduate degree program. Basically I am too busy, but I want to keep posting in this blog. So, I'll try.
It is Memorial Day in the States and it looks like we have a new potential Queen in England (Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge--wife of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge). Osama bin Laden's reign of international terror has come to an end.
We'll see what new developments come to our world. now.
